Pamela Mann Launches New Tights Made from Recycled Materials!

Here at Pamela Mann, we are launching recycled hosiery and are working towards developing more!

Not only are we a leading hosiery supplier and manufacturer, but we have been working hard to change our most popular and bestselling products to recycled materials. Using specialist Nilit Ecocare recycled yarn, we are making a step towards inspiring a worldwide shift in the processes and behaviour within the textiles industry.

Why use recycled yarn?

Ecocare yarn was developed to reduce the impact of textiles manufacturing upon the environment, with the industry being the second most polluting industry on earth. We are one of the biggest hosiery suppliers to the UK high street and some of the largest online retailers around. With this influential position within the industry, we are determined to establish a dedication to our customers and support them to provide more environmentally friendly products and become a part of a worldwide social movement.

‘We are on a mission to inspire our customers to change the extremely popular core products, 50 and 80 denier black tights, and take part in the global change, swapping these products for our new recycled versions’, said managing director Robert Morris. ‘By manufacturing these products for high street and online brands, and filtering them down to the end-user, it enables everyone to do their bit. We are beginning with our global best-selling products and actively looking to expand our recycled range throughout 2018 and beyond’.

Pamela Mann already actively ensures that all the factories used to produce stock, are Oeke-Tex certified, meaning that all of our products are tested thoroughly to ensure efficient consumer safety. The selected factories involved in the production process are all eco-friendly, solar powered factories that utilize recycled water.

This June, we will launch these brand new recycled products and make them available to both our contract and wholesale customers. Fully recycled and recyclable packaging and inserts will be used for these products.
